Just a bit about me...
Hi quilty friend!
My name is Jennifer and I am so happy to meet you! I am the mom of four amazing adults and seven beautiful grandchildren. I feel truly blessed by my family. Since my husband retired in mid 2022, we decided to make a huge move from Oregon where we were both born and raised, to the wide open picturesque Wyoming! I've been a maker for as long as I can remember. My mom was always sewing and crafting and painting so I learned early that motherhood could be a combination of nurturing children while also nurturing self. I truly had the best model for how to be a mom while remaining true to my innate gifts and creativity. My mom taught me to sew (which I hated), cross stitch, crochet and many various crafting adventures so, when my children were young I continued to do all those things - including sewing, which I came to enjoy. As an early garment maker the jump to quilting was a natural shift as my children grew older and no longer desired mom-made clothing. Sadly, I still can hardly draw a stick figure, much less paint anything but a wall. I made my first quilt when my oldest was in elementary school and I quickly grew to love cutting up and sewing back together ALL the fabric. Sadly, I became a 'topper' - one who makes many quilt tops that rarely become quilts. For many years my dream was to finish those quilt tops myself so, when my husband retired he joined me in investing in Hazel who is my large and in charge longarm machine. Finishing quilts has become my mission and I am thrilled to be able to share that dream with all the other quilters who allow me to finish theirs as well. I would be so very honored to help you turn your quilty artwork into a finished cozy and useful member of your household or an amazing gift. Let's get that quilt finished!
