RATES
Square Inch Price
I charge 2.5 cents per square inch for all designs.
Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches. 60 x 80 = 4800 x .025 = $120.

My minimum quilting charge is $50. This means that a small quilt or table runner's square inch price will be rounded up to the $50 minimum.
Batting
I use and stock Hobbs 80/20 cotton/poly blend, Warm and Natural 100% cotton, Quilter's Dream 100% poly and Pellon 100% cotton in white. I am always willing to special order wool or bamboo batting or really whatever batting you would prefer. Of course, you can always provide your own good quality batting.
Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square inch price.
I charge for batting by the linear inch from queen rolls of batting except in the case of special orders. I will use only what is needed for your quilt (smallest side + a 5" margin) and charge per inch.
For example, if you have a 60" x 80" quilt, I would cut 65" of the batting of your choice.
65" of 100% cotton Warm and Natural @ $0.30/in = $19.50
65" of 80/20 cotton/poly blend @ $0.32/in = $20.80
65" of 100% poly @ $0.24/in = $15.60
65" of Pellon 100% white cotton @ $0.18/in = $11.70
Thread
I stock various top threads in 40# and 50#. My preference is Superior Threads So Fine 50# for top thread with pre-wound Fil Tec or matching So Fine 50# in the bobbin. I don't charge any extra fees for thread use, it's included in your square inch price.
My personal style attempts to match or blend thread color with the lighter areas of your quilt. But this is YOUR quilt! Let me know if you have a preference on thread color.
If you choose to provide your own thread please allow me to consult with you so we can decide on the best thread for your quilt in both color and quality.
Photography
I'm not a professional photographer but I do my best to take "nice" photos with my "good" camera! :) Upon completion of the quilting, I will take photos of your quilt in my own home and then text/email you those images to use however you would like. I'd just ask that you credit me for the photo and/or quilting if posting publicly. This extra service is included in your square inch price.
In addition, I will not use photos of your quilt in my business social media unless you give me permission to do so.
Shipping
Shipping your top and backing to me: I live in Wyoming, USA, and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail. I'd recommend sending your materials enclosed in some kind of sack or bag to protect against possible moisture in transit and then placed in a hard-sided cardboard box. Make sure the box is securely taped and labeled clearly.
Return shipping: I will send your quilt back to you in the manner described above via USPS Priority mail (using flat rate when possible/economical). Priority mail comes with $50 of insurance and a tracking number but please indicate on your intake form if you would like me to buy any additional insurance on your behalf. It's a great idea to insure your valuables against loss or damage while with the Postal Service, but I don't require it.
Other Costs
As mentioned above, batting is not included in the square inch price. I'm required by the State of Wyoming to collect a 4% sales tax on the quilting service portion of an invoice. Batting, shipping, and any design/pantograph fees are not subject to sales tax if outside the state of Wyoming.
